Misawa Hokki Don

Misawa City, Aomori Prefecture is known for its production of hokki surf clams. In the winter of 2012, local restaurants launched a campaign to promote this special local product, and developed the rice bowl dish, Misawa Hokki Don. Today, 30 restaurants participate in the campaign to serve their own creative hokki rice bowl in Japanese, western, or Chinese styles.
