Nara
Curry that passes on the heart of caring
Kokumai Curry
One of the stories about the origin of curry says that curry was what Buddha who was born in India cooked it with various herbs and gave to people to cure disease. Kaigenkuyoue or Tamashiiire of Great Buddha of Nara was hosted by a Buddhist monk from India, and it shows that Nara has a long relation with India. There is also a written record that indicates that the medicines (used as spice today) were dedicated to Seisoin from India, thus there is a possibility "the curry of the heart of caring" existed at that time. "Kokumai Curry" is what has been revived from the Buddha's curry that cared people's health.
