Specialty rice bowl dish that participated in the 5th Japan Local Bowl Dish Competition

Betsukai Jumbo Hotate Sanshoku-don

It is a sumptuous bowl of rice topped with locally-caught giant scallops cooked in three methods: marinated in sweet soy sauce, deep fried, and grilled in rich butter made in Betsukai-cho. The town is also known for another specialty “Jumbo Scallop Burger”, using the same giant scallops. Why not visit Betsukai and enjoy both these dishes?
