Horse mackerel is one of Enoshima's specialties. Fresh mackerel from Sagami Bay is roasted, sliced into small pieces and dried to be served while it still has the best taste. The most suggested menu is “Aji-no-tataki” which is sliced raw mackerel mixed with condiments. Mackerels are available throughout a year, but the best season is June.
