Fukuregashi
"Fukuregashi" is name for a confectionary, not a particular trademark, made around Kagoshima Prefecture. The ingredients are brown sugar, flour, eggs and bakin soda, and they are mixed with water and steamed. It rises when steamed due to baking soda. - brown sugar200g
- yomogi (boiled and wrung)40g
- water200cc water
- vinegar10cc (2 teaspoons)
- baking soda1 and a bit more teaspoon

- Put yomogi and water in a blender and blend, then add vinegar and baking soda.
- 2.
- Shift flour and mix with brown sugar. Add to the yomogi mixture, and mix with a spatula.
- 3.
- Place a wet cloth or cooking sheet in loaf pans and pour the mixture into each pan. Put in a boiling steamer and steam over high heat for about 1 hour. It is done when a skewer comes out clean when tried in the center of the loaf.
