This dish originates from the days of metal works in the area and is a highly nutritious dish for cheap, made for the laborers. The noodles make it unique. Tobata cham-pon uses thin noodles unlike other cham-pons. The noodles date back to the early 1940’s when the then chef devised this steamed noodle recipe.
