A local specialty that inspired the B1 Grand-prix
Sembei Jiru
A specialty of southern Aomori containing broken nambu-sembei made of flour and salt in a soup stock of meat, fish, mushrooms and vegetables. Sembei made for this dish do not dissolve in the soup, but maintain a firm texture much like pasta al-dente. The sembei are a perfect match for the rich-tasting soup. There are around 200 shops offering sembei-jiru in southern Aomori, so you can enjoy comparing the taste.
