Imo Taki (Chuyo)

The imo taki of Toon city has continued since the local people of former Kawachi machi started it more than 30 years ago. The yam used as one of the ingredients is a specialty of Toon city. The yam harvested in an early stage is called “wase”, which has the sticky melting characteristics. The だしmade from bonito and kelp tastes like a little sweetened udon noodles soup, which enhances the 13 different kinds of ingredients. Special menus include adding pheasant meat or duck meat. Adding meat enriches the flavor.
