Sea Bream Dishes
The best season for sea breams is when they come to lay their eggs in the Setonaikai Sea between spring and early summer. In Fukuyama and especially in Tomonoura, a variety of sea bream dishes can be enjoyed. Not only ikizukuri (alive sashimi) and grilled with salt, rare dishes like sea bream rice or sea bream somen noodles can be enjoyed only in Tomonoura. They are served in hotels, Japanese style hotels and national inns in and around Tomonoura.
