Kaasa Moochie
Moochie is a Mochi (rice cake) in Okinawan language. It is eaten on December 8th in the old calendar with a prayer of health and longevity and is made with Mochi (rice cake) powder. It is covered with leaves of shell ginger and it is said that if you eat Moocie, you will be a healthy kid. People add color to this moochie and enjoy the color as well as the taste. There are white moochie, turmeric moochie, brown sugar moochie and violet sweet potato moochie.

- Steam shell ginger leaves so they can bend
- 2.
- Mix mochi flour,sugar and other ingredients. Add water little by little till the softness of the mix is like your earlobe. Rest it in the refrigerator for an hour

- Divide the mix into ten and roll. Wrap each ball with steamed shell ginger leaves. Steam them for 30 minutes. (check them after 25 minutes to see if they are all cooked)
