Dumplings in Kamata became popular next to those in Utsunomiya. There are about 20 restaurants within a radius of 500 meters of JR Kamata Station, which attract many people for the dumplings with crispy outside and juicy (minced pork and vegetable) stuffings. It is said that 30 years ago a restaurant called “Ni Hao Honten” started serving dumplings with crispy wings for 300 yen. Following this, many of the restaurants serve a dish of dumplings for 300 yen.
