Hachioji's local ramen with fresh onion slices on top
Hachioji Ramen
Not widely known throughout Japan, but Hachioji has its own ramen culture. It even has a long history since Showa 30's (1950's). The most distinguishing feature is to have fresh onion slices on top and thicker soy-sauce based soup. Noodle's size and toppings varies from restaurants to restaurants. In Hachioji, there are more than 20 shops/restaurants which provide “Hachioji Ramen” and it is really popular among the local people.
