Tangerine bread invented by a bakery in Ehime, the kingdom of tangerines
Tangerine Bread
This is a marble-patterned bread with tangerine paste kneaded into the dough, invented by a bakery called Tsukihara. The fresh fragrance of the tangerines is its characteristics, and a slight sweetness can be tasted by just eating on its own. Toasting it makes the marble pattern vivid, and enhances the aroma. Putting butter makes another different kind of taste. It is so popular amongst the locals that it is difficult to get hold even at times when they are just newly baked.
