Tobata Cham-pon Noodles

Steamed thin noodles, pork bone soup, plenty of vegetables along with chicken, squid and fried items. Anyone from Tobata city has eaten this once in their lives. This dish originates from the days of metal works in the area and is a highly nutritious dish for cheap, made for the laborers. The noodles make it unique. Tobata cham-pon uses thin noodles unlike other cham-pons. The noodles date back to the early 1940’s when the then chef devised this steamed noodle recipe.
