Akita
Two-style curry: old-fashioned taste mixes with the modern
Aigake Jindai Curry
Jindai in Senboku City, Akita Prefecture, is a fertile area for growing rice and is known for its organic farming of Akita Komachi, one of the most popular rice varieties in Japan. The excellent rice meets old-fashioned style curry to become the dish Aigake Jindai Curry. The dish comes with two styles of curry - the homey, old-time curry made from flour and curry powder, and the modern European-style curry with demiglace sauce. Topped with a very soft boiled egg and Akita’s specialty smoked pickled daikon radish Iburi Gakko, it is ready to be served.
