Abura zoumen is a name for soumen champuru in the Amami area, and this is one of the most popular dishes people often eat. The basic combinations of ingredients are such as small dashijako and nira, pork back ribs and nira, and kinshitamago and nira, but various other ingredients such as canned saba, Spam meat or any preferred ingredients are used when cooked at home. It goes well with beer as well. Using lots of cabbage is a trick to make tasty campuru. In the Amami area not only soumen noodles but other noodles are also used occasionally.
