Okinawa
Okinawa yakisoba with mochi like texture of wheat flour noodle is very delicious
Okinawa Yakisoba
Yakisoba (stir fried noodle) is made with Okinawan soba. Unlike normal soba which is made with buckwheat flour, Okinawan Soba is made with wheat flour. This soba has mochi like texture and it feels more volume than Yakisoba made with buckwheat. Current Okinawa Yakisoba is mainly cooked with soy sauce, Worcester sauce or salt, in the past, people used to make it with ketchup. It was more like Napolitan spaghetti rather than Yakisoba. Some restaurant still serve Okinawan Yakisoba with ketchup keeping the tradition alive. If this tickles you, please go ahead and try it.
