The red miso based sauce is the trick! A unique new style local delicacy
Kameyama Miso Yaki Udon
This is a new local delicacy that was invented in order for the revitalization of the town. Udon noodles are cooked together with vegetables and meat, and finalized with red miso based sauce. It was based on a hidden menu of yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurants that existed since more than 40 years ago. There is now group to revitalize the town called “Kameyama Miso Yaki Udon Hompo”, and a symbol character as well as a theme song sung by a local singer songwriter was born. Finished second in the “Second Local Food Competition” in April 2010. It is served in around 25 restaurants in the city.
