Flower cuisine
The boso peninsula is famous as a flower producing region because of its mild weather. They also grow edible flowers. Organically cultivated edible flowers are not only beautiful but very tasty. Local cuisine with edible flower is very unique to this region. No only beauty of the flower will have a calming effect on you color therapy wise, but brightness of the color is a proof that the flower has much vitamin A and beta carotene and will have good effect nutritiously as well. The edible flowers they grow are rape blossoms, Nasturtiums, knapweeds, snapdragons, stocks and so on. These flowers can be eaten as Ohitashi (boiled and seasoned with soy sauce), Tempura, tea, sweets and more.
